In order to locate Scaramounche, it is necessary to finish Act Five of Chapter Three within the Teyvat storyline. He will appear as the concluding boss of this act. After successfully completing the primary story quest titled “Where the Boat of Consciousness Lies,” you will have the opportunity to engage in battle with the boss once a week in the domain known as “Joururi Workshop.”

Located in the Avidya Forest of the Sumeru Region, the domain can be found in Chinvat Ravine, adjacent to Sumeru City. To access it, teleport to the Avidya Forest waypoint and navigate towards the domain’s position as marked on the map. Leap off the cliff and touch down on the ground, where the domain is surrounded by an abundance of trees and plants.

Recommended Characters To Beat Scaramouche Boss

Due to his elemental type, Shouki no Kami exhibits some resistance to Electro damage, making it unwise to deploy any Electro characters in the confrontation. It is recommended to opt for Cryo characters, which are notably effective against Electro adversaries. Consider bringing characters like Wriothesley or Ayaka to maximize Cryo damage output.

In the absence of five-star characters, Rosalia serves as a commendable four-star Cryo DPS option to enhance your team. It is advisable to include a healer proficient in Cryo, Dendro, or Hydro elements during combat. Characters such as Qiqi, Kokomi, and YaoYao possess exceptional healing capabilities. To evade certain ground-based attacks, consider utilizing Venti or Wanderer to gain altitude.

Additionally, it is recommended to have a Pyro DPS character in your lineup to deliver considerable damage to Scaramouche. You may choose from Yanfei, Klee, or Arlecchino for this task. If you find it difficult to dodge the boss’s attacks, consider the inclusion of a shielder. Zhongli and Noelle are both exceptional choices for this purpose.

To effectively destroy Scaramouche’s Nirvana engines in the second phase, your team must consist of a ranged attack character. Yanfei, Ninguang, and Ganyu are excellent choices for this task, as they can efficiently take down the floating devices. It is important to ensure that these characters are well-optimized to deliver substantial damage, allowing for a rapid elimination of the engines.

The First Phase

Scaramouche Boss

The initial stage of the battle is quite intricate, as it encompasses several mechanics that must be leveraged to your benefit.

As you step through the door to commence the boss encounter, you will see several elemental Matrices laid out on the ground, each operating differently. Once you have charged your Akasha Terminal by collecting energy blocks, activation of a Matrix will be possible.

MatrixEffect
ElectroIt will immobilize the boss by overloading it if you activate it.
HydroYou will get a healing hydro ring around your character.
AnemoIt will summon an air current, and you can get to a higher altitude with it.
PyroIt will remove the ice from the ground.
CryoIt will remove the flame effects from the ground.

In the initial phase, Scaramouche will employ the elements depicted in the matrices below in his assault against you. He will conjure three Anemo Tornadoes and infuse them with Hydro, transforming them into Whirlpools. When the boss places his hand on the ground following an attack, this presents an opportunity for you to counterattack.

The manager will commence the charging of electricity into a spherical form. At this moment, it is crucial to ready yourself for a significant offensive, as the accumulated Electro energy is about to be discharged onto the ground. To successfully dodge this attack, you need to swiftly activate the Anemo Matrix by collecting energy blocks. A current of air will rise from the ground, enabling you to use your glider to elevate yourself and prevent harm.

Scaramouche will initiate a sweeping motion with either a Pyro or Cryo attack, subsequently executing a slam on the ground with the opposite element. To evade this, one should move in the direction opposite to its hand as it begins to charge the Pyro attack. Additionally, it is possible for Scaramouche to perform a Pyro or Cryo ground slam independently, without preceding it with a combination of attacks.

To successfully immobilize the boss, you must engage two Electro Matrices to create an overload effect. Once the first matrix is activated, the boss will halt its movements and start charging Electro energy in one of its hands, which it will then unleash to cause harm. It is advisable to remain alert to the attack’s projected range to avoid being hit.

You must ensure the swift activation of both Electro Matrices; otherwise, Scaramouche will recover and launch a damaging wave of Electro against you.

Occasionally, the boss will conjure multiple Electro beams that will navigate the arena. To circumvent this attack, one must create an air stream by activating the Anemo Matrix.

Second Phase

Scaramouche

If you have managed to endure the fierce initial phase of Scaramouche’s onslaught, it is crucial to recognize that the challenge intensifies in the subsequent phase. You must be cautious of lethal strikes while also working to weaken the shield of the massive Shouki no Kami.

During this encounter, the Neo Akasha Terminal will support you in applying steady Dendro damage to Shouki no Kami. By collecting energy blocks located around the battlefield, you can charge the Terminal, allowing you to unleash a powerful Dendro attack that will effectively weaken the boss’s shield.

This stage of the confrontation can be quite daunting, as Scaramouche employs a swift succession of elemental attacks that are challenging to evade. The assault will occur on the ground, featuring a combination of multiple Anemo and Hydro strikes. To avoid these attacks, it is advisable to reposition yourself away from the center of the arena, where the attack range is indicated.

The entity will additionally launch several elemental bombs, and it is advisable to maintain a safe distance from them. However, these bombs can be neutralized using elemental damage. To effectively eliminate them, it is recommended to employ elemental damage that is particularly effective against the specific element of the bomb. For instance, utilize Dendro or Cryo against Hydro bombs, Pyro against Cryo bombs, and Hydro or Electro against Pyro bombs.

If Shouki no Kami charges with Electro on two occasions, be ready for a potent strike and avoid the specified circular attack zone. Keep moving swiftly until you are beyond this range. The boss will repeatedly slam the ground, resulting in substantial damage if you do not successfully evade these attacks.

Certain movements can be quite difficult to avoid, making it prudent to use a shielder. Scaramouche will vanish from the arena and then quickly rush towards you, delivering a series of Pyro and Cryo assaults one after the other. In parallel, Shouki no Kami will create Electro portals around itself and send Electro projectiles your way. You can evade these attacks by noting the designated impact areas on the field.

After the shield has been fully depleted, Scaramouche will call forth the Nirvana Engines to execute its Setsuna Shoumetsu Cometh attack. It is imperative to act swiftly and eliminate all summoned engines prior to the initiation of this lethal move. It is advisable to utilize Pyro or Cryo attacks to dismantle the Electro engines. Additionally, the three airborne engines can be effectively targeted using ranged attacks.

Once you have successfully destroyed all Engines, collect the energy blocks located on the ground. Following this, deliver a strong attack using the Akasha Terminal against the boss. This will cause Scaramouche to become immobilized, enabling you to defeat him before he can regain his strength.
