Running concurrently with the event until the same deadline is the Marvelous Minds: Evolve collection challenge. Just like its predecessor, completing this challenge is necessary to earn the associated rewards.
The Pokémon involved in this challenge need to be specifically evolved rather than caught. Here’s what you need to know:
- Ralts: Found in the wild or via seasonal field research (Spin 3 PokéStops or Gyms).
- Kirlia: Evolve Ralts using 25 Ralts Candy.
- Gardevoir: Evolve Kirlia using 100 Ralts Candy.
- Solosis: Encounterable in the wild, seasonal field research (Make 10 Nice Throws), or via event-exclusive tasks (Make 6 Great Curveball Throws).
- Duosion: Evolve Solosis using 25 Solosis Candy.
- Reuniclus: Evolve Duosion using 100 Solosis Candy.
Completing this challenge will earn you 5,000 XP and another encounter with Hatenna.
Psychic Spectacular Research Tasks
During the Psychic Spectacular event, players can spin PokéStops to receive event-exclusive research tasks. While these tasks can be completed even after the event concludes, tackling them during the event can facilitate the completion of the Collection Challenges mentioned above.
Additionally, catching Morelulls via these tasks offers an increased chance of obtaining the shiny variant compared to those found in the wild.

Details about the Psychic Spectacular Event
The Psychic Spectacular will run until 8 PM local time on September 22nd. Throughout this event, players can enjoy several bonuses, including a doubled Stardust reward for catching Pokémon. Everyone can earn additional candy upon capturing Pokémon with Nice Throws or better, while players at Level 31 or higher will have an enhanced chance of acquiring Candy XL from these throws.
A significant attraction of this event is the introduction of Hatenna, a Psychic-type Pokémon from Generation 8, which can evolve into Hattrem and Hatterene.
